My Question or Issue

My current version is:

Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.16.947.gcfbaa410

Since the previous update, I have not been able to use Ctrl + S to toggle shuffle. I'm having to use the mouse to toggle shuffle.

Also, earlier when I clicked on the shuffle button, it asked me to choose between "Shuffle" and "Smart Shuffle". But it does not appear to be doing that anymore. Clicking on it now just toggles the shuffle.

I believe this is a bug. Please look into it.

Hey @circline,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind checking if you can replicate this on a different computer? It'd be awesome if you could check. If possible, you can ask for the mobile device of a relative or a friend to open your account and check.

On another note, is this happening when you select a specific playlist or does it happen no matter what you choose to play? If you're not sure, it'd be really helpful to check when exactly this is happening.

When you reach the end of an album, playlist, or selection of songs, and the Autoplay feature is enabled for your account, Spotify automatically plays similar songs so the music never stops. It's expected to not be able to activate the shuffle feature, since the music playing is a selection by Spotify for you, and said selection is a random track list based on your listening activity.

Lastly, you can also send us a video recording of what's happening on your computer. You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.

Keep us in the loop!

Hi Aleja. A quick reinstall has fixed the issue. Sorry, should've tried that first. Thanks for your help.
