Lake Street Drive - Bad Self Portraits - Distorted Sound

There is defintily something wrong with Lake Street Drive's Bad Self Portraits album. Multiple instances on different sound systems I've noticed bad distortion on the vocals. Listen to "Better Than". Please don't tell me it's my system, I have studio quality JBL speakers and all the necessary equipment.

It's one of my fave album of my fave band and I agree with you.

So I just bought one mp3 song through Amazon ("Just ask") and sound and voice seem distorted and metallic too. If you read the reviews there you will find that there are lots of people complaining about sound and overall production of the album.

So after all I suspect that something went wrong with the sound engineering and production on that album; maybe that's the reason why they changed the producer on their next "Side pony".

It's a shame the album sounds that bad, because songs are wonderful.
