My Issue

The issue is with the desktop app for Spotify and the playlist seems to be out of date. On the desktop app, the last song was added on the 3rd of February 2025, while on both mobile and the web player, the last song was added 2 days prior writing this post. Due to this discrepancy, 20 songs are not appearing on the desktop version.

Manually refreshing the desktop app does not help and neither does logging off and in. Repairing the app through Windows settings doesn't work. The only way to fix this issue is to reset the app completely through Windows settings. This isn't the first time I have observed this behaviour and hope this gets fixed so that I do not need to completely reset the app every time it gets desynced.

EDIT: the top image is the desktop app and the bottom is from the web player (just to make that clear).

Hey @Navs2468,

Sorry to see you've been having issues with your desktop app but thanks for letting us know!

Although making use of the Windows settings seems to be temporarily patching up the issue, what I'd recommend in this situation is going over the steps for a complete clean reinstall of the app instead 🙂 This will ensure there are no leftover application files left before the new installation.
Monitor the app behaviour once this is done and let us know if the issue re-appears.

Hope this helps! We're here for you if there's anything else in the meantime 🙌🏼
