Limit on pressing "next" even as a premium user?

I wanted to quickly look at all the album art for the songs in a playlist so i pressed Next rapidly in sucession. At some point spotify desktop client (windows) will stop responding to Next, Previous or even me selecting any other tracks even manualy. The only way to continue is either seek to the end of the song and let spotify move to the next track OR quit spotify and reopen.

W T F?

**EDIT** I only seem to hit this "limit" if the album art / track has been cached otherwise i don't seem to be able to hit this limit as i have to wait for each picture to load.

That sounds really weird.

You should've unlimited skips on the desktop app even as a Spotify Free.

Have you tried reinstalling your app? If not here's a step by step tutorial.
