My Question or Issue

When changing the details of a mp3 in your files that already appeared in Local Files before being changed, the changed song appears in Local Files, but so does the old, unchanged song that is either complete silence when played, or grayed out and unplayable.

The problem is that if a song was in a playlist, the new, functional song doesn't replace it, only the old, unplayable song is there.

Also, when trying to post this I got the message "verification failed" and my post was deleted.

Thanks.

Hey @dipistry.

Let's try removing your local files from Spotify and adding them again after you've made the modifications to the metadata to see if it helps.

To do so, just head to the Spotify Settings > Local Files, and toggle the button next to the folders where your local files are. Then, restart the app and toggle it back on or add the source again.

Let me know how it goes.
