Local files don't display on Discord or last.fm

My Question or Issue

As of early January, playing local files on Spotify do not display on Discord or scrobble to last.fm anymore. I've never had an issue with either until recently and the issue has not been resolved. My theory is that it's a problem with Spotify's latest update, as reinstalling the app and disconnecting/reconnecting the connections between Spotify and last.fm/Discord have not resolved the issue.

Spotify gets worse and worse with every **bleep** update I swear, they fix one thing and break 20 others.

Again, you're not the only one with this problem. I believe there is a missing file called "local.bnk" or something that's in the appdata for spotify. It was working before, then I checked the appdata folder only to find it gone. Spotify should really look into fixing this...

Hey all!

Last.fm is currently looking into that issue, you can keep your eyes on updates right here.

However, it seems to be working for some people (including me).

I recommend updating your Spotify clients, version 1.0.99 should work properly. 🙂
