Local files not playing on my phone

My Question or Issue

Hi

I got a premium account. I have enable spotify local files on my desktop. However I can't seem to play or download the files onto my phone where I want to play it. 

I thought it would automatically download whatever I add onto the playlist?

How do I make it so my phone can play the local files as well

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here! 

It's a good idea to try changing the source location of the local files on your PC. Simply create a new folder in a different directory on your device and move your local files to this folder. Then just delete the old folder used for the local files. Now you can try importing the files to your mobile device again.

Despite doing the above it is still not working. Do I have to manually add the files onto my phone to make this work?

Why can't the spotify app just update this automatically? Or make it just as easy as downloading regular songs on your playlists?
