My Question or Issue
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hey there all,
Thanks for reaching out in the Community! Hope you don't mind me replying in English 🙂
Can you tell us if you're able to listen to tracks on the Web Player?
Please try these steps that could help fixing the issue of not being able to listen to songs in the desktop app:
Tell us if this helps, and if not, confirm:
Keep us posted!
I've checked it before but there is no "spotify" lines at all. What i did that actually worked for a brief moment (it played just ONE song) was updating the OS (win 7). Now its broken again.
Greetings, Petya!
I will be using Google Translate for this answer, so please be patient if you use any unusual terms in my answer.
I did the walkthrough recommended by you in your answer, but the files named "hosts" did not contain any lines of code named Spotify or anything like what you mentioned.
My OS is Windows 7 and Spotify until it opens the Desktop App, but clicking to start some music simply does not start and only close if using the task manager.
My Spotify version is 1.1.22.633.g1bab253a, i downloaded the app e reinstalled 20 minutes before writing this reply.
The Web Players goes on as normal.
AEEEEEE, funcionou! Muito obrigado pelo link!
Hey folks,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this.
We've created a separate Ongoing Issue thread where we're gathering info from users regarding this issue.
If you're still experiencing this issue, make sure to head over there and leave the requested info.
Thanks!
I already tried this procedure, but I didn't even find the Spotify stuff in any line code of the "host" file.
Here's what my "host" file is showing:
# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 localhost
As you may note, there is no "0.0.0.0 weblb-wg.gslb.spotify.com" anywhere in the code. Because of that, I just can't finish the procedure. For the love of god, could you help me out?
By the way, I am using a Dell PC, Intel Core i7. Windows 7
My desktop Spotify version is the last one, I downloaded it 1 hour ago
