Mailbox...?

Hi. Kinda new to spotify. 

I could have sworn there was a mailbox of some kind on both my phone and desktop. Last night there was a #1 in the upper right hand corner while I was playing a song. I tapped it but nothing happened. And now today, no mailbox on my desktop either. So I have no idea what that number meant. 

Any ideas?
