Music on desktop app runs music too fast

Music on desktop app runs music too fast

Hello everyone,

So last monday I noticed that my music runs like half a second to second faster than it should. I compared it to my phone and on the phone it works fine.

I do like a bit of nightcore music but I prefer originals.

I use the 1.0.75.483.g7ff4a0dc (Windows Store-version) spotify app.
I don't know if this is a bug or some wierd automatic preference I set up but please help me fix this.

Hey @TedHoebers

This sound pretty odd. I don't know about any speed-changing Spotify settings either, so I suggest reinstalling your Spotify client.

Let me know how you get on! 🙂

All ready done that. I deinstalled the version had but still its doing the same thing. I don't know if this might be a thing in the playback device but I still have the same issue.

No worries, let's dig deeper into this. 🙂

Does the same happen when you use Spotify web player? Also, try other websites like Youtube, Bandcamp as well as your local media players like Windows Media Player or VLC.

You can also try disabling hardware acceleration in Spotify. Click the three dots upper-left in Spotify, go to View and click on Hardware Acceleration. This will restart the Spotify app.

Keep me posted 🙂
