My activity is not showing up on my friends friend activity.

I listen to spotify on my laptop almost everyday and i can also see what my friends are listening to via the friend activity side bar. However, my friends have told me that they cant see what i listen to at all, i dont show up on their friend activity at all. How do i fix this?

Does enabling "Publish my activity to Spotify" (Edit → Preferences menu) solve that?
