Hi. So, I've been a spotify member for six months now and have had no problems until now. I just took a look at my profile and noticed that spotify displays not my name, but 1214123792 as my "username", which I do not like. When I signed up for spotify I connected to my facebook account and continued signing in with my email, just like I would for facebook. This caused my full name to represent my profile; which I'm okay with. Here's the thing that might have caused the problem: I just recently lost interest in facebook and temporarily deactivated my account, but I could still log in to spotify using my facebook information (email and password). I checked my account settings and what not on the spotify website and saw that I was still connected to facebook. I get that spotify is for listening to music and it shouldn't matter how your profile appears, but it still bugs me. Solution?

Hey folks,
Thank you all for the updates and following up on this!
We're actually closing this thread as it's a really old one.
Make sure to check this Spotify Answer by Guido to find out how you can switch back to your Facebook name and avoid displaying your numerical Spotify username.
If you've just decided to join Spotify or to create a new account and are wondering how you can select a personalized Spotify nickname, you'll find it very helpful to check this Spotify Answer by Kate.

Thank you so much for your support and have a good one 🙂
Hi, and welcome to the community!
Unfortunately, if you deactivated your facebook account, Spotify will revert your name to numbers as it pulls your data every so often, meaning it no longer has any data to pull so it can't display anything. Currently, there is no way to specify a Spotify username to display. The only way to display your name would be to connect to fb again.
There is an idea for creating a username somewhere on the ideas section (but I can't seem to find it, sorry!). Feel free to add Kudos and comment to show your support!
Anthony 🙂
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
Good news, it appears to have fixed itself. I can confirm your public profile for "1214123792" is connected to Facebook and is now displaying your full name and profile picture.
If it hasn't updated in your client yet, it should do within the next 24 hours. 😉

Well, that's weird because everyone sees my public profile as numbers and with no picture. What should I do?

ok! Thanks a lot. I will let you know whether it got fixed or not.
My user name shows as 1245759226...Mine is doing the same thing and it won't let me get on to my profile at all or see anything on my feed.
My username is a bunch of random numbers as well, I never deactivated my facebook or anyhting like that. The number it gave me is 125259441, is there a way to fix this? It was normal before, now with the number i cannot access the song feeds or my friends playlists or anyhting like that. Below i have a picture of what it looks like. Thanks.
It looks like updates are being posted to this thread.
When i setup my spotify i did so by clicking use my facebook login.
Now when I download the app and try to login it will not accept my facebook login credentials and when I use the weird number username from my account it also wont allow me to login with my facebook password.
The account is definitely connected to facebook. Can you try logging out and back in with your facebook credentials again. If it fails, could you post a screen capture showing any error message?
