My Question or Issue

I connected my laptop to a source (a hard drive with music on it) and now I cannot find how to unlike that source. I followed some threads here where I deleted or renamed the local-files.bnk file in the AppData/Roaming section. The problem is that as soon as I go back into Spotify, it rebuilds all the files from the source so I am caught in this loop. I really just want to remove all sources and start clean again. Any idea how I can do this? Thanks so much.

Hi AeroZ,

Thank you for the reply. I can't find where to unselect / remove the source. This is what I see under Preferences (see attached). I don't see a delete or remove option and I am not sure i I should switch off "Downloads" or "Music Library". Are those the sources? How do you delete as opposed to just switching off?

Yes, those two are sources. If you switch them off then Spotify won't show local music from those locations. Those two are built in sources so you won't be able to delete them. Disabling gets the job done.

Hi AeroZ,

You are a star! Thank you so much. Much appreciated.

No problem @Saint1007!
