No True Description of Repeat Icons Found Anywhere. Please Provide

My Question or Issue

 I have searched extensively and can find no accurate description (on 12/8/2018) of the Spotify Player Repeat icon meanings.  The icon with a DOT under it is described on MouseOver as "Repeat Track,"  while the icon with a billiard ball "1" on MouseOver is described as "No Repeat". These do not seem to match with what they actually do.

The Repeat Track icon seems to play the entire PlayList BUT THEN does NOT repeat but goes off to its own la-la land and starts playing its own music selections.  Admittedly they are similar to the PlayList but not close enough to be what I want.

How do I get my Play List to simply keep repeating forever?

Post Script Observation.  The mouseover text that appears over the Previous; Play/Pause, Next icons reflect what the icon represents.  For instance, the "Pause" text shows over the two verticle bar Pause icon.

BUT the Shuffle and the Repeat mouseover text seems to reflect the NEXT state of the icon and NOT its current state.

This is non-consistent and confusing.
