Not playing songs unless liked; liked songs removed

My Question or Issue

Spotify would not play certain songs for me unless they were in my liked playlist. I restarted my PC to no avail. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify, but all my liked songs were gone, with the message "Songs you like will appear here." On the mobile app, where I am still logged in, my liked songs are still there. In addition, the initial issue still persists: I must like a song to have Spotify play it.

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Community. This seems odd. Let's investigate this together.

To start with, can you log in with a different account - such as a friend or a family member? This will help us understand if it's account related or not.

It would also be great if you can try a different internet connection to see if the issue persists.
