Only queue up Songs according to your Filter in your playlist

My Question or Issue

I remember in the past whenever I filtered my Playlist with for example the singer or the band and then play a song filtered by that, spotify would then only queue up those songs, which also were found by the filter. Now it seems like no matter what filter I do have in my Playlist, all of the songs within the whole playlist will queue up to be played.

Was that feature intentionally removed ? If so, I think it was quite a useful feature to have, since you could then just filter for a certain singer in your playlist for example and only get your favourite songs played by that singer.
