My Question or Issue

On some devices like receivers and soundbars, it is enough for the guests of a party to be on the same WiFi to seamlessly queue songs to the current live playlist. It seems like this is not possible on the regular PC...

Is there a way to activate this? Does JBL pay a license fee to be able to use the feature? Also it would be great if it worked on the phone. Meaning anyone on the same WiFi could enqueue songs on someone else's phone.

This is how parties work! 🥳 The feature "Group session" is far to limited, includes sending links which are hard to find and is limited to 7 persons.

Hey @AdmiralGanja,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

Group session is available only on mobile devices/tablets, meaning that you cannot start or join a Group Session from the desktop app. More info on the topic can be found in this FAQ.

We can see how that would be a handy feature and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts. We’ll ensure your sentiment is passed on to the right people.

In addition, it seems like the Community folks have already gathered on a similar feature request and have created an Idea about this. If you'd like to see that option available, we'd suggest that you check this suggestion here. Make sure you leave your vote to support it, so that it would have a better chance of being considered, as Spotify always strives to improve your experience.

You'll also find all the relevant info about our Idea Exchange and how the Community feedback gets implemented here if you'd like to know more about the topic.

Hope this helps. If you need anything else, the Community is here for you 🙂
