My Question or Issue
When selecting a radio from a playlist an initial list of generated songs load along with a message at the bottom of "more songs load as you listen"... however once you reach the end of the initial songs (sometimes it loads about 25, other times it loads only 5) the radio stops playing music and no more songs are generated.
This is no issue when using Spotify on my phone, or when connecting to Google Home, however when I use the desktop Spotify on my Windows 10 laptop the radio will not continue to load songs as it should. Ensured the Spotify desktop app was up to date (version 1.1.79.763.gc2965cdf) but this continues to be an issue way before the last version upgrade.
It's very disappointing, especially considering a monthly fee is being paid expecting all services to function properly across all platforms, not just some.
Hey @RizuChan,
Thanks for posting in the Community!
This behavior of the Radio function sounds odd indeed. Is this happening to you for all playlists that you start the Radio from or it happens with just one of them? If this happens just on one particular playlist, could you also share a link to it, so we can take a closer look and advise you better.
It could be well worth to also perform a so called clean reinstall to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble for your Spotify desktop app. This reinstall has few extra steps and is more thorough than the usual one. see if this would make any difference.
If the above does not help and the odd behavior of Radio continues, then we'd be very grateful if you can share a short video of what exactly happens on your end, so we can replicate the situation and investigate it further.
Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.
It still dont work at all, on app or web browser, you soft is disgraceful!
It is not solved at all, it still doesn't work, either on app, phone, or even web!
Is still don't work, either on app, phone or web.
Still doesn't work.
Hey folks,
Thanks for your replies in this thread and welcome.
In this case, we'd like to gather as much info as possible. @Jgr9, @NotPayToDanielEK would you mind sharing with us the troubleshooting you've tried so far? This way we can avoid repeating any steps.
On another note, can you share with us the details @Kirial asked for above? It'd be awesome if you share with us the exact make/model and OS of the affected device(s) along with the Spotify version you have running.
Keep us in the loop!
Web Spotify, Windows 11, Firefox. Playlist Radio never loads songs beyond the first 3, and just goes back to the first song.
