Playlist ends before the full playlist was played

My Question or Issue

When listening to my playlist of 1000+ songs it only plays about 40 songs on shuffle then starts to play music that isn't even on my playlist and I have to shuffle play my playlist again, is there any way to stop this or is this not meant to happen?

Have you tried reinstalling the app? You can read here how. If that doesn't help, let us know if this happens with one or more of your playlists and if it happens when listening through another device as well.
