Playlists Will Not Appear As Public

Hi, all,

Seriously running my head into a wall trying to figure out what happened in transitioning to the latest version (0.9.8.296).

My default setting for playlists is to make all playlists public, but my profile appears to have zero playlists, no matter how many times I toggle or untoggle a playlist. I've seen topics on starred playlists taking time to become public, but no other case where someone's completely locked out of making public playlists. If restart the client, the menu option has switcehd to "make public" again, but toggling that doesn't update my profile. 

Really enjoy sharing music with my friends, so this is a bit frustrating.

I'm having a problem of a facebook friend telling me they can't see my playlists even though they are mostly public.

 

Just because I have turned off my activity feed to facebook because I don't see why the whole world should know what I listen to, doesn't mean people shouldn't be able to see my playlists if they browse me.

 
Incidentally I WOULD STILL LIKE MY PROFILE TO BE DISCONNECTED TOTALLY FROM FACEBOOK. THOSE WITH WHOM I SHARE A MUSICAL INTEREST ARE NOT NECESSARILY MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS.

 

@oneironautical If you haven't already done so, coud you reply to the automated response. You should hear back within 24 hours of doing that but please shout if that doesn't happen.

@EarlPurple If your account was created with a spotify username and you later linked it to facebook, you can disconnect it following the instructions in the first part of this FAQ

 

If it was created with a facebook login, get in touch here and the support guys will help with moving things over to a username account. If you get an automated response directing you back to the community or to the help pages, please reply to it to speed things along.

 

I thought you could specify who could view your timelines etc on facebook although I may be wrong as I don't really use it for anything.

I am having the same problem with my public playlists failing to display on my profile. My profile states that "This user has not published any playlists." I have many many playlists which have been showing on my profile previously.

 

My profile: 127500733

I have this problem too, it sounds like I'm not alone, and it's very frustrating.  What's the ETA on the fix?  I'm paying $10/mo and the ability to share playlists easily is a key feature.  

 

ps: my spotify userid is  "sumitsumit "

If Richard was able to fix accounts on the previous page, I would suggest everyone gets in touch with the support team as @Joe mentioned above and they should be able to do the same thing.

Good point Peter; I just did that!  I was glad to see someone posted the support link on this forum - oddly enough, I wasn't able to find it when navigating through the website (which always ended up on this page: https://support.spotify.com/us/)  which has no "contact us."  Is there some way to navigate to the contact page from the spotify page?

Press "About" in the footer of this page. 😉

ah, got it, thanks 🙂  I see that works from the page I linked to as well.  As a suggestion, I'd say it would be helpful to change that link to "Contact" instead of "About."

If they did that, everyone would be able to find them 🙂

I am glad to see lots of people like me are having this problem too, since the topic is open for a few time now. I really hope it will speed things up ! 

I have also been speaking to @spotifycares on Twitter but they could not fix this issue.

I love using Spotify for sharing purposes and I can't do so for more than 2 months 😕
