Spotify takes ages to pause, skip, change song ect.

I am having this same issue right now. I have tried everything as many of you have. Has spotify ever found a fix? It's kind of ridiculous and spending money to have a broken app not working sucks.

Before anything else, we'd like to emphasize that this is most likely an account-related issue so it would be really helpful to check if the behavior persists with another account on the same device. You can create one for testing purposes using a different email address and close it later using these steps.

If the issue is not present on the other account, log back in the original one, go through Your Library and remove any playlists that are no longer accessible/working as they are the most likely cause. Some users also report issues with playlists that contain more than a few thousand tracks, so it's a good idea to split them into smaller ones.

You're not alone on this one it really needs fixing. I remember last time my friends and I had a bachelor party, we weren't sure if we could pull off a small DJ setup in the van, but Blue Nile Livery sorted us out and let us have full control of the music. We had a great night no doubt, but the skip and pause lag on Spotify definitely killed the vibe a few times.
