My Question or Issue

I almost never listen to podcast. That is why a lot of my recommendations for podcasts are ones I'm not interested in. Could there be an option to hide specific podcasts from the home screen?

For instance: right-clicking the podcast in question will show an option that says "Not interested" or "Hide from home screen" or just "Hide".

Power trip much, Alex?

Moderators:  It is entirely appropriate to ask what is wrong with an employee who tells customers to go vote on a suggestion that has been voided by Spotify for months.

What you should be doing is coming on here and updating your employee's useless post with something useful, instead of power tripping.

Jups, would be nice...
+1 , can't believe it's that difficult to program.

i have a suggested podcast that’s very erotic and disgusting i am so **bleep** about the fact that spotify lets users make podcasts and playlists with vaginas and boobs. what the **bleep** is wrong with spotify this is not ok. you guys should make an option to block podcasts or playlists because now i have a middle aged man touching a girls boobs on my homescreen. this isn’t ok nothing about this is ok if people want **bleep** they should go somewhere else not to spotify where kids and families are also listeners. spotify needs to take control of this.

I understand if Spotify wants to advertise to make more money (even tho I pay for premium). Fine. But why do you insist on showing me a podcast that I rated as 1-star? Every.single.day. Just get it off my screen 😭😭😭 I signed up for Apple Music because of this

I highly doubt that.

The community will sooner than Spotify itself, who'll just say they'll ignore it as usual.

This is annoying. I looked for an artist earlier, I accidentally ended up on some 'podcast' channel with erotic content (just seems like smu t that doesn't belong on Spotify in the first place, but whatever), and now it's sticking to my homescreen for all eternity. Everytime I open up Spotify, anyone behind me can see that stuff. I have to be careful to even use Spotify at work now.

Removing individual items wouldn't even have to be the solution, I'd rather see the app not showing any podcasts at all, or otherwise just music there too.

Literally every reply "wE uNDeRsTanD yOuR fRusTrAtiOn. PlEasE votE"

It looks like this has been a problem since 2019. Do you really think Spotify is ever going to work on this?

Just be glad you're not getting the bondage podcast recommendation that's showing up first for me. Scared to use Spotify at work now. I don't even want podcasts.

I have learned to immediately click on "My Library" whenever I start Spotify. My brain fortunately developed partial blindness to podcasts offerings the same way it ignores advertising.

Adding myself to the growing list of people frustrated with the endless podcast recommendations popping up before music. If someone doesn't subscribe to a single podcast, why are you placing that content first on your home screen? This is not just ignoring your audience, it is also providing a bad user experience and interface to your product.

I'll leave a comment here as voting on the closed suggestion is not possible.

For me it's slightly frustration to see the same podcast suggestion every day even though I didn't ever listen to it. It was played once for 2/3 seconds though.

Anyone has a tip to at least replace this uninteresting podcast suggestion with some other ones? How do I do that?

Bump. Still broken. Still nobody listening to us.

Any solutions now? I am getting disgusting and embarassing podcasts when i don't even listen to any. Fix this damn thing or i am switching to apple music.

I totally agree with this post, getting recommendations and not being able to reject those recommendations is simply stupid. Let me choose what I'm interested in.

hold said podcast down, a list should appear with the option “not interested in this episode” or something similar. that removes it from your homepage for 90 days. Hope this helps!!

I'm absolutely not interested in Podcasts at all. As a matter of fact, I sincerely dislike them. If want to hear uninteresting people talking, I'd turn on the radio. If I'm interested in stuff, I go to wikipedia or search the internet. I'm here for the music. Podcasts are why I don't pay for my Spotify and just use an add blocker to skip the ads. I don't want to get stuff showed in my face, which a company says "you must consume". We don't live in Russia! I don't want podcasts and never will and therefore I will not pay.

Doesn't work for me.

It just opens it even if I feel like I'm going to break the screen.

I've been all over the IOS interface when it opens up. Nothing there either.

I just use the free tier when I need something that I don't have on alternative platforms and pay them now.
