Search for all Artists

Ok, have just joined, and I want to do a big excercise and create a playlist of all music I like. My memory however needs jogging, and I have tried for example putting 'c' in the search bar, hoping to get all groups starting with 'C'. No luck, it comes up wit5h lots of artists with a c in their name, and indeed a lot without! It does not however include all artists.

For example, 'Chinese Man' does not appear.

How do I search for ALL artists please, and then navigate so that I can pick their tracks I require, then get back to the same point on the search as where I left off.

So far, with the names I can get up, I click the artist, click on the song, then press back, and I have to start the search all over again.

Surely there must be an easier way!

Is there any answer to this please from the experts. I cannot be the only one to have this issue?

Try to use Web version for this. For example https://open.spotify.com/search/artists/c* 
When you click on the artist link hold Ctrl + Shift. Artist page will be opened in a new tab while the tab with the search results will stay as it is.

Thanks. Works well generally, though the search still seems quirky. search
C*, CH* even, and Chinese Man does not come up.....search CHI*, and it does!
