My Question or Issue

I liked the song of an artist a couple of days ago, but it doesn't appear in the list of songs of that artist that are in my likes

Maybe it's buggy because he's not the primary artist on the song?
The song is in his Top 5 though and the EP is listed on his artist page.

I'm playing the song right now and as you can see: it has a green heart.

Hey @Dj_Fex ,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

We get the song metadata from the distributors of the songs. This means that due to different metadata some songs may not be listed under one particular artist as Liked Songs, while others are.

We hope this clears things a bit,

Cheers!

Not exactly, this is a bug I would like to see fixed. Both songs are linked to the same artist id. What other metadata than the artist id could be relevant for listing songs of an artist that I liked? Or are songs only linked to the ID of the primary artist after all?

To verify this I liked the song "CONKA" from Dirt Monkey https://spotify.link/OFslOlfb9xb

and low and behold, even though it's from distributor "Deadbeats" (like "Let That Go") it's shown in the songs of Dirt Monkey that I liked. Why? not because of the distributor but because he's the first artist on the track.

Please forward this bug so it get's fixed by the developers at some point 🙂

Blaming distributors doesn't seem helpful here. But I could be wrong and it still plays a role somehow.

Regards

Hey @Dj_Fex,

Thanks for getting back to us.

There are a few ways for distributors to list the collaborating artists for a track, hence the difference in the way they are displayed. We appreciate your feedback however and we've made sure to forward it to the right team.

Cheers,
