Speakers and collaborative playlist

I'm on a family plan and a friend is using standard premium membership.

We both have Windows 10 laptops and iPhones and ideally we would like to use a inexpensive Wi Fi speaker to share our collaborative playlist.

My question is, would both of us be able to skip songs (like in a SONOS app) over any speaker?  Currently we use a USB speaker plugged into one laptop which means only one of us can change songs and only one desktop app displays the 'now playing' song as essentially the other laptop isn't connected to the speaker.
