Spotify Desktop App and my phone application aren't connecting

Spotify Desktop App and my phone application aren't connecting

I believe this is an issue with my Desktop application. When I login into the web browser it connects to my phone application. However, whenever I login to my desktop app it isn't linked to my phone application. I've tried speaking to the live chat but I had 6 people leave the chat while I was trying to explain the issue.

Hey there @TheSupez,

 

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. 

 

We'd first recommend making sure that you're not using any VPN on your computer. This can often cause the desktop app to not synchronize with the mobile app, even if you're using both at the same time and logged into the same account. 

 

Note that VPNs are also not officially supported by Spotify, so it can cause additional performance issues.
