Spotify continues to have friends feed failing to load

No matter how many times I reinstall, reboot, resign in, sign in on a new device, or anything it still won't update. The only thing that fixed it was being on an old spotify version, but I had to update to the most recent for some features I need. What is happening? This is on Windows 10.
