Spotify desktop app immediately skips every song I try to play without playing it

My Question or Issue

Does anyone know how to fix this?  I think I've tried everything I can including reinstalling spotify, deleting cache, and setting my default speaker.  I tried playing a song on repeat so it would try playing the song over and over instead of skipping songs at the speed of light, but it just said "Spotify can't play this right now.  If you have the file on your computer you can import it."  This has been a problem for months now and I'm tired of it.

I have exactly the same issue, it started this morning when I restarted my PC.

I have tried everything.

I notice that this issue started for users a couple of months ago and it still has not been fixed.

I got the same issue for my desktop player (Windows 10 all patched and updated).
