Spotify does not log in at all since the start of 2018

No matter what I try I cant get spotify to work.

Initially it refused to connect to the internet and stayed offline despite a perfect internet connection it always worked with before. 

after trying to log out and log in, It will now not log in at all. 

Issues:

-Log in with facebook does nothing when I click it.

-Tried facebook login in boxes, email, the long number account code and all it does is grey out and stay like that for eternity (no error codes) Longest time so far was 7 hours!

Tried older versions, same issue.

Checked firewalls, adblockers all fine.

Im a premium member and have been for quite a while. This only seems to have happened after the most recent update. Is there any fix available or am I stuck waiting for when spotify can be bothered to sort it out?
