Spotify does not save playlist settings

After recent update of Spotify on Windows, my Spotify client ceased to save playlist settings: it does not remember 'view as album' setting, nor sorting I used on each playlist. It used to save all those settings before, but now all playlists show up unsorted and not in album view. When I change these settings for a given playlist, it does not save it, and when I open Spotify later, the playlist is again unsorted and not in album view. Is there any way to fix it?

Several users have posted about this, so guessing it is a bug.

Have you tried a clean reinstall of Spotify?
