Spotify glitches, scratches or skips on Windows 10

Playing Spotify on Windows 10.  During playback, every ~ 10-15 seconds I get an audible scratch or glitch sound.  Only lasts for a 1/2 second or so, but never goes away.  Need suggestions on making it stop.

ALREADY TRIED THE FOLLOWING, none of which worked:

1 logging out/in of Spotify;

2 uninstalling/reinstalling Spotify

3 hardware acceleration on both settings

4 removing/reinstalling sound card and controllers

Any other bright ideas?

Hey there @1247432504,

We really appreciate you sharing this here in the Community!

We hope you don’t mind us replying now as we just stumbled upon this thread.

Just to confirm, are you still experiencing this?

If so, it'd be helpful if you could give us some additional details on your setup - for example, is this happening when using external speakers on your device or when using a different device.

Further, you mentioned that you already tried reinstalling the app. It would be a good idea making sure to try a thorough reinstallation of the app with the steps in this Spotify Answer as well since it helps with similar issues.

Keep us posted! We’ll be happy to help further, just give us a shout 🙂

This is awful! It just keeps happening and I tried everything. Ive been too long a client to experience this. I can't believe I cancelled Tidal. This never happened on anything other than spotify. I'm trying to listen to the new Lana Del Ray album and this happens.
