Spotify going offline after a few minutes with full internet access (Error code 4)

Spotify going offline after a few minutes with full internet access (Error code 4)

It only happens with my laptop, I have my desktop app and everything is working fine. Even in my phone, never had a problem with online. I've tried updating the app's proxy, logging out and in, reinstalling the app and the solution in this topic: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/I-have-full-internet-connection-but-it-says-I-m-off...

Nothing seems to work. Any help?

Hi @Neincatt, welcome to the Spotify Community!

To start, can you let us know the model of your laptop, the operating system and the Spotify version you're running?

Also, we'd like you to try restarting your internet connection and trying again.

If it goes offline again even though your internet connection is active, we'd like you to check both the firewall and antivirus you use on your device. Make sure they don't have any restrictions active for the Spotify app.

Let us know if that helps. Have a great day!

The solutions offered to the ERROR CODE 4 message are utterly useless and a monumental waste of time. Two days ago SPotify on my Galaxy S10 and on my laptop presented with this message when logged onto my wifi, which IS operating for ever other program. I can access the following via my home wife, which operates at 30Mbps:
Netflix, BBC, ITV, YouTube, newspaper subs, email, every internet site I wish to view etc etc etc. The ONLY site I cannot link to is (drum roll)..... SPOTIFY.
However, if I disconnect from the wifi and use a direct to internet connect, SPotify now works.
And I have done a program remove etc. A tedious option because now I have to download 2350 songs again.
How, pray tell, is this a PREMIUM service?
John

Hey @MusicLover1957,

Thanks for posting!

Currently there are issues with the app showing you're offline even though you're not. That's why we've created an Ongoing Issue while the right teams are investigating this.
