Spotify is insanely slow to open, taking 30+ minutes sometimes.

Desktop, windows 7. 

Spotify is VERY slow to open. I click the desktop app and it can take more than 30 minutes to use spotify, the app opens but i cant see anything but friends on the side for a long period of time and am unable to click anything with getting a loading symbol.  I have a gaming PC with 8 gigs of ram, a quadcore intel i5 and a graphics card. 100gig internet connection, PC is at less than 5% load. There is no reason spotify should take longer to OPEN than battlefield 1 takes to open, connect to a match and load into one. I have tried reinstalling multiple times. The issue still persists.

Hey @KaylaDean, welcome to the Community.

Hope you are doing great!

Try to disable Hardware Acceleration, just click on the … top left corner, inside the View tab find Hardware Acceleration and next click on it to disable then confirm to restart Spotify.
Also, if you don't use local files try to disable them inside Settings.
