Spotify isn't sharing my activity, despite settings being turned on

So nomally I wouldn't care about this type of stuff, but my friends and I tend to use Spotify playlists and activity to share ideas with eachother as all of us are studying music, however lately my Spotify has stopped sharing what I'm listening to, to the people who follow me.

I've made sure the settings are turned on, and I've even reinstalled the app several times on both my Phone and laptop, but still no luck.

It's like I'm perpetually stuck in private mode, despite the fact that I've got it turned off.

Me neither now, but when I look up on some of my friend's profile, I "follow" them already

im having the same issue... checked my settings and made sure "share my activity" was turned on, and still it won't publish my activity to my followers if im streaming from my mobile device. however, it will publish it if im streaming off my laptop...
