Spotify mutes itself while playing songs

My Question or Issue

My Spotify would mute itself while playing songs. Often middle of songs. I've restarted Spotify a few times, closed off Skype, etc tried the recommendations from here but it still mutes itself.

That seems unusual but dont worry. Just as a quick check, have you made sure that the 'Normalise volume' setting in Preferences is turned on?
