Spotify mutes while using my headphone's microphone

My Question or Issue

I have noticed that whenever my computer is using my microphone (in a Discord call, when switching audio playback devices, etc.) Spotify still plays but has no sound. As soon as I leave the Discord call for example, Spotify's sound instantly comes back.

How do I enable spotify to work even when the microphone is being used? The endgoal is to use Spotify while I am in a Discord call with my friend. Thanks guys.
