Spotify now always starts as if "Show desktop overlay when using media keys" was enabled

Since the last update, even with the preference "Display Options" / "Show desktop overlay when using media keys" disabled, every time I started Spotify, it works as if that option was enabled... I need enter in Prefereces enabled the option and then disable again for it behave correctly.
