Spotify on laptop change soundmix depending on volume

Spotify on laptop change soundmix depending on volume

My spotify seems to change the mix of the audio depending on the volume slider in spotify itself. Playing around with the system volume and the in app slider, I found out that the lower volumes are more bass heavy while the high volumes are very tinny. I first thought it was just a problem with my 3.5mm jack on my XPS 13, but after testing with my bluetooth headset the problem consisted, though it is less noticable. Listening to music through youtube sounds fine regardless of volume.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to disable this? If there isn't, what is the "proper volume" for the right audiomix?

Thanks in advance.

Hey there @Koenvv!

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community!

Apologies for the delayed response, we just came across this thread.

You could start with a clean reinstall with the steps here to make sure that all old files that might be causing trouble are gone.

It's also important that you re-download it from the Microsoft store.

In case the issue persists, could you let us know if you experience the same when listening to music from our web player?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
