Spotify pauses after every song

Spotify on my Windows 8.1 machine pauses after playing one song. It is super annoying and only does it on this device. Luckily I have and auto hot key script that lets me skip to the next song and it will begin to play. I have to do this every time I reach the end of a song. I have tried re-installing spotify and that does work also cleared the cache to see if that would do anyhting but to no avail. So I was wondering if anyone had the same issue or if I have to live with it.
