Spotify pauses and skips all listed songs

My Question or Issue

Since last night, Spotify stops playing the first song I choose and skips all the rest in the queue. I tried to unistall and reinstall it but the problem is still there.

This morning, the antivirus identified SpWebInst0.exe as ransom malware and blocked it. When I reinstalled it and checked again in the folder, it wasn't there but the problem still appears.

Before following the rest of the suggestions, please make sure to have your Win update app checking your device for any new updates.

Then, please visit this Spotify answer, scroll down and follow the instructions under the relevant device.

This will perform a clean reinstall of the app, which is a bit different than the regular re installation.

@OneByBoo Thank you for the reply. Actually, it was a hardware malfunction (sound card). Fixing this, Spotify was ok again! 🙂
