Spotify randomly connects to android phone when app is running in background

Hi,

First of, I never seem to be able to find information on this forum, so if this is a double post, please point me in the right direction.

When I use spotify on my Windows 10 pc at home, sometimes (possibly due to wifi problems) halfway through a song, it decides to switch playback from my pc to my phone (android, Galaxy S7).

One solution I have found so far, is force stopping the app on my phone, but that is always annoying because I have to go to settings>applications, etc etc etc.

My question is two-fold:

1. Is there any way to easily force stop (or quit, but I found that spotify removed that option for us...) Spotify, so I can well, simply turn it off...

2. Is there any way to prevent the switching between devices. I rarely use my phone to listen to spotify when I am in the house, and I would prefer it always plays on my desktop, unless I otherwise spcified.
