Spotify re-following artist on its own/ playing music

For whatever reason spotify keeps following (and playing, in the middle of me using spotify) some random artist, the same every time. 

What is this? I'm the only user on this account, I've never followed the artist, it just plays music/refollows on its own.

Hello @surmata

There is a possibility someone else gained access to your account. So as soon as possible change you Spotify password and then go to your account page and click SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE as an extra security measure.

I thought this was the case a few months ago and did this originally and it didn't seem to help - I even changed the password of the email my account is attached to. So I am at a loss 😞
