Spotify stays logged in to a deleted account

My Question or Issue

 So I tried out Spotify a while back, and had made an account on my main e-mail with an admittedly cringy username, which I then promptly forgot about. Yesterday I decided to try Spotify again, and found my old account. Upon finding out that there was no way to change my username, I deleted the account and then made a new one on the same e-mail address. However, by this point, I had already logged into the old account on my desktop program, and now it auto-logs into this old account (which has already been deleted?). I've tried screwing around with the "Remember me" function, as well as simply uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but the default account refuses to switch off of the old one. It's not the end of the world if I can't fix it, but it is a pain having to reenter a password every time I just want to listen to music. Anyone have a potential solution? Thanks in advance.
