Spotify taking up alot of space.

My Question or Issue

I need some help. spotify is for some reason taking up 46 gbs on my ssd which to me seems like a lot? mercury files are taking up 27 gbs, data is taking up 9.1 gbs and then browser is taking up 8.8. Then there are other smaller files like users, update,user data and storage that take up the remaining storage. Is it supposed to be like this if not does anyone know how to fix it?

First thing you can try is performing a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your PC. This step will clean up cluttered data from previous installations and get your app updated to the latest version.   

Once you're done with the clean reinstall, we suggest changing the location of the Spotify folder to C:\Spotify since this will alleviate the performance of your PC in the AppData folder.
