Spotify unable to connect to sonos on windows PC

Hi

Seen loads of threads on this, re-authorize a/c, reset or switch off VPN, re-install etc etc none work on my PC (andriod phone perfect!) I get a blue dot over the devices icon at bottom of app ( i always thought this was a green dot??) 

Anyone got a fix apart from those above? Either Sonos' last update broke the handshake (sonos current version is 8.1.1) or Spotify no longer supports this method on PC?
