Spotify will not stop opening automaticaly - Win 7

This malware-like behavior started a few days ago.  Spotify has decided it will automatically open each time Windows 7 (64bit) boots up.

Yes, I've gone into Advanced Settings and turned off auto-open (it was never turned on).

Yes, I've completely uninstalled Spotify and reinstalled it.

The next time I boot Windows 7, Spotify opens automatically again.  Is there no way to keep this from happening?  I see that this topic has been raised before, but I have not found any actual solution, just instructions for turning off auto-start in the Advanced Settings, WHICH DOES NOT WORK.

Add Windows 10 64bit as well. Started happening after the last update a few days ago.

Same here, very annoying.

In Advanced Settings, under Startup and Windows Behavior, turn off or diable "Allow Spotify to be opened from the web".  Reboot to check.
