Spotify window starting maximized but not full-screen

Hello,

The Spotify team has finally fixed the "close" button appearence making it bigger again. That is a wonderful thing. However it seems there's a new issue of the same kind.

I didn't find any bug report about this, so here I am, probably speaking for many Pro users.

When the Spotify app starts on my Windows 10 PC, it does so taking up all my screen space. However, while at first glance it might seem full-screen, Spotify actually still is in windowed mode. There's just a few pixels on the right portion of my screen that are actually showing my desktop, or what is behind the Spotify window.

Clearly, the moment you try closing Spotify with a mouse flick, the cursor doesn't actually select it, but the window behind it. As shown in the screenshot below.

Since my screen resolution is greater than the minimum window size for Spotify, I'm wondering why it always pops up this big. Or why Spotify doesn't remember the last size when closed.

Hope this can be helpful

Hey @MarcoGuba,

Thanks for reaching out!

To investigate this further, please let us know the following:

  • Your current Spotify app version.
  • Do you have a second display connected?
  • Are the window size settings being forgotten after every restart of the app or your PC?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps like clean reinstalling the app?

Keep us posted.
