Spotify won't play any music with my DAC plugged in

I saw some threads about a similar issue, but couldn't find an answer there. Spotify just won't play a thing. It shows an error message saying "spotify can't play that now". Other applications play sounds just fine. I've already tried reinstalling the app. I also noticed that the web player works normally and if I turn sample rate down to 192 kHz, the problem disappears (of course, it's not a satisfying workaround).

Some help would be appreciated.
