Spotify won't play music (Spotify can't play this song right now...)

My Question or Issue

Hey guys,

I'm currently facing the issue of Spotify suddenly deciding to not play any songs anymore. This however only applies to the desktop app, since the web player works just fine. The error message I'm getting reads something along the lines of: "Spotify can't play this song right now if you have the file on your computer you can import it".

I've tried reinstalling the software and restarting my computer a couple of times, yet nothing changed. Another thing that I looked into was deleting the local-files.bnk, which also didn't seem to make a difference.

I have also checked other threads with the same error messages, yet none of those solutions have worked for me.

I have had a similiar issue, and for me it was a problem with my Windows settings was set higher than Spotify would accept.

If i tried to use either of the following settings, Spotify would refuse to play.

24bit / 384000Hz

24bit / 352800Hz

32bit / 384000Hz

32bit / 352800Hz
