Spotify wont play new songs until reinstall

My Question or Issue

The music plays normally from my playlists when i boot up my computer, but if i were to look for any new music the player just gives me this (https://gyazo.com/a17e66017173ab74398aa29e12776fcf) and won't play anything. The only available fix so far has been to reinstall spotify but i've done it numerous times already and there should be a fix for this.

I'd suggest checking out this Answer article, more specifically the hosts file fix on what you can do.

The article is about missing Daily Mixes etc, but it has also worked for users unable to play music and getting results similar to yours. 🙂
